Yeah, like you want to be anywhere near her when her family decides to make a, um, "correction."

You have not met my ex-wife’s mother. Far worse than the entire Bin Laden family. :D

Not even close. Acts far less than what this young woman has done has led to honor killings of other young (or old) Muslim women. She has placed her life in grave danger....

All right, you win. Now I will have to get serious too. Darn and I had such a nice buzz going.

Nobody forced this young lady to pose for GQ. She did it of her own free will with full knowledge of the potential consequences. Second, she is an American of (half) Arab descend and does not live in the Middle East. She does not even speak the language.

The fact that she is related to Osama probably puts her in harm way from both sides. She is trying to break taboo and show a more Amiable side of Arab Americans. What is wrong with that? It is no secret that I am a descendant of Palestinian immigrants and I dated quite a few Muslim girls during college. I even met some of their parents and there never once was a problem though I am Catholic.

Furthermore, Osama is probably too busy pulling his dialysis machine trough caves wherever the heck he is to notice a couple of pictures of a niece he has never even met.

Not really Osama she has to worry about

I agree she knew what she was doing. However, I don't think it Osama she has to worry about. If anything she will have to worry about some nut job sympathizer.

What I find interesting is the fact that she “is an aspiring New York-based musician” who, “as part of an effort to distance herself from her massive Saudi family, appears in a sultry GQ photo spread.”

It makes one wonder if she is using her relationship to ole’ Binny and the GQ spread as a PR stunt for her career as a musician. If so, then it was done in bad taste, otherwise, nice photos. Hmmm...

I hope she knows what she could be getting her and her family into.

That has been my gut feeling all along.

Along those same lines I can only state that it has been my own experience that you could go into any major shopping mall on any given Saturday and find at least a dozen women more attractive than Ms. Osama. Good luck to her in her music career but as far as I'm concerned, if she has to rely on these skin shots to insure her success then she's in big trouble.

True enough. Summer time in San Antonio on the Riverwalk would put Ms. Bin Exposed to shame. A lot of "aspiring musicians" here as well, without all of the "honor killing" baggage………

It is ungentlemanly to comment adversely on a woman's looks.

There is nothing the matter with Miss Dufour's appearance except her state of undress and that ridiculous feather business.

One would, however, on any weekend in any shopping mall near Detroit, see very many Arab ladies, whether Christian or Muslim or Druze, who would give Miss Dufour quite a spectacular run for her money. The rare ones in burqas (usually from Yemen)excepted, of course; one could scarcely run in one of those things.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with her and that the feather outfit is very un-GQ like. It is a known fact that I have a soft spot for exotic looking women.

Actually, if you are referring to Arab women, I think the correct term for the garment is abaya, bot burqa.

As for Miss Dufour, I doubt that the GQ photos will do much for her musical career. I only hope they don't blow up in her face.

I apologise for pushtun the limit. If they hadn't been blown up my relatives in Beirut would have known what I meant. Around Detroit the usual term is blue jeans. Also, they'll laugh at your car. You gonna eat that?
