My curriculum would try to combine all of the subjects to make learning as relevant to the students lives as possible. For instance if students are learning about Ancient Chinese culture in history, I would like for the students to be studying Chinese art, literature, architecture, and what ever else simultaneously. The curriculum will be project based so that there would be no such thing as 'busy work' --there will always be a means to an end. Anybody else with a similar pipe dream?
Not a pipe dream, actually. The Evergreen State College www.evergreen.edu works very much along these lines. The two daughters I have studying there at the moment like this approach very much.
