I am tired of paying for books and I have an idea. I just bought a book for MGT5007 and I have the book for MGT5000. If there was someone who had taken MGT5007 and planned to take MGT5000, we could have traded textbooks.

I figure if I can get enough people interested, an NCU student can buy one book and keep trading…just an idea.

That's a great idea Randell! It's a small world too. One of my friends is finishing up her PHD from NCU. I think she is just fine tuning her disertation.

    Take care,

    Great...I will take it!!!!! :D
Let her know my MGT5007 book is in the mail. Seriously, glad you like it. I picked the classes I wanted to take and looked for used books for sale. That is how I decide what class to take next. Usually there is not a book for sale that I want so my plan goes down the toilet. Now I am just thinking on a bigger scale.

He, he he! Want me to ask her if she has any NCU course books lying around? Her PHD will be in Business, I am not sure what specific area.

    Take care,

    Abner :)

I will ask her when she gets back from vacation next week. I know she has taken several business classes.

I will ask her about completed work, dissertation, and everything in a box to go! :)

All kidding aside, I will talk to her next week some time. I will PM you either way if she has any books she is interested in selling or not.

    take care,

    Abner :)

Hmm. Interesting. I've never sold (or given away or traded) a single college textbook in my life. I still have every one of them. I've even gone back and looked things up in them from time to time. I also have every piece of paper generated by either the instuctor/prof or by me from every course I've ever taken... each course getting its own manilla file folder (or two or three, depending on the course) in a fairly deepy, old, four-drawer file cabinet that I have (and that's missing a handle on one of the drawers, and has a broken handle, hanging in to parts on another). Granted, that file cabinet's not in my office or den (it's in a part of the house that's more like a storage area) -- as are most of the textbooks -- but it's (and they are) still around.

It's not that I'm a packrat, generally. I certainly don't packrat other stuff in my life. But for some reason I've never tossed any of that paperwork, or tossed/sold/traded any of those textbooks.

    Go figure.
