Anyone read that book by Malcolm Gladwell called "Blink"? Well, I started to, read about 5 pages, picked up on the concept of "thin slicing" real quick, and decided that I therefore didn't need to finish the rest of the book since I "blinked" on his entire concept! I'm not sure that was his objective....
yeah, I just started the book. I don't see the big deal about it. I heard his book "The Tipping Point" is supposed to be SO MUCH better.
Having just read the description of the book as listed on Amazon it would seem to be a reworking of the concept of memes, an idea first popularized by the Philosopher Richard Dawkins. The book may be good, I don't know, but if you like it then you might want to check out Dawkins The Selfish Gene. Jack
