    Hi All,

I just accepted a position with Strayer University in Northern VA (way more money than UOP, and a much better environment) and have decided to enroll in their MAED, with a concentration in educational management. I have also transferred my credits over to Marymount University from George Washington University due to cost factors and class issues.

My ultimate goal is to obtain a full-time position in educational administration at the college level (dean, college chair, etc) and to teach as an adjunct.I wanted to get some feedback on my educational decisions:

Here is the coursework required for the MAED:

    Area I : Core Component

    Area II : Major Component

    Area III : Concentration

    Concentration in Educational Management

    Area I : Core Component
    18.0 Credit Hours

BUS 520 Organizational Behavior (completed @ GWU)
BUS 531 Research and Strategic Communication (completed @ GWU)
CIS 500 Information Systems for Decision-Making
EDU 500 Theories of Teaching and Learning

    Area II : Major Component
    22.5 Credit Hours

EDU 505 Contemporary Issues in Education
    EDU 510 Educational Assessment
EDU 515 Designing Mandated and Discretionary Curricula
EDU 520 Education and the Law
    EDU 590 Directed Research Project

    Area III : Concentration
    13.5 Credit Hours

BUS 510 Grants Management and Proposal Writing
EDU 530 Educational Administration and Leadership
    EDU 532 Instructional Supervision

And here is my curriculum @ Marymount:

    Human Dynamics
    Financial Accounting
    Statistical Analysis
    Marketing Management
    Managerial Economics
    World Economy
    Managerial Accounting
    Information Systems
    Business & Public Policy
    Operations Management
    Financial Management
    Strategic Managment

(the rest of the applicable electives/courses will transfer in from GWU)

    Any feedback is appreciated!
