We start our annual Day of Atonement with the singing of Kol Nidre. As I have said elsewhere, if you want to catch a glimpse of the Jewish soul, this evening's service will probably afford the best single opportunity to do so. Most synagogues are very full. If you don't have tickets, call ahead to make sure there will be room for you.
