'Status' has more to do with the 'emotions' which is really what we 'think' with.

Our whole framework of management, finance and economic studies is built upon this false foundation of the 'rational' man.

Time we re-thought human motivation in terms of being driven by the passions.

And very passionate people try to impose systems of scientific man.

In terms of studies, I think finance should be cut-and-dry, economics broader and management broadest.

In terms of practice, finance and economics are specialties, advisory to management. Management handles people situationally. In a well run organization, management will keep the focus on organizational needs/goals and off of 'passionate' needs/goals.

That's my view in a nutshell. Not that there's much of a view in a nutshell.
