A colleague who has requested information from many phonies got an unsolicited phone call from the 'registrar' of Andersen University, ostensibly in Sacramento, California, offering him the degree of his choice for about $1,600.

The caller could not or would not provide an address in Sacramento, and the URL he gave --
    www.andersenuniversity.org --
    seems not to be operational.

    (Definitely 'Andersen' with an 'e')

Now they have a website, just registered:

    www.andersenu.org

    The address in Sacramento, California
    5431 Auburn Blvd. Suite 252
    Sacramento, CA 95841
seems to be the New Dawn Recovery Center, a residential facility for drug and alcohol detox.

Call me paranoid, but this smells of a UDP spinoff. The look, feel of the site, and the reverse approach of cold calling. Mmmm.
