Ophelia is beating down on them. He's at UNC Wilmington. They lost power sometime today. I got him on his cell tonight. Lots of wind and rain. They stocked up on food and water, so they should be fine, but I am a mother . . . *sigh*
He'll be okay... mom. Have faith. It won't be another New Orleans. Sleep. Worrying won't change a thing; and lack of sleep impedes your coping mechanisms. Above all, sleep when sleep's time comes. I'm sure he's in people's prayers around here. He'll be fine.
Mcdirector- I feel your pain. My wife and children are also in coastal NC and here I am 6,000 miles away. All seems to be well there, at least from what I know so far. I hope all is well with your son. S/F, Ryan IV
Ryan IV -- I just heard from my son. Almost everyone has electricity back now. I'm sure your family is fine. Let me know if I can get Joe to do anything for you! Wilmington is back in session tomorrow. Things will shortly be back to normal. Not much damage as I knew there shouldn't be. But you know how it is when you are far away from those you love! Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words.
McDirector- Thanks for your kind thoughts. I'm glad to hear that your son is okay. My family is well. Luckily, we live on the base, so help is never too far away! Since I've been over here, they've had friends and neighbors taking good care of them. Ryan IV
