Since I believe Bruce is going to arbitrarily close ANY thread (that he doesn't like) that I start, I have decided that I no longer want to be associated with this forum. As a person of principle and integrity, I will never go along with the "okey-doke" for the sake of political correctness, touchy-feely sentimentality, or sparing someone's feelings. There is too much at stake.

Many thanks to those of you who have sent me messages of support. My thanks also goes out to those who tried to engage in meaningful dialogue.

Those of you who are interested in intelligent, respectful discourse about race, race relations, tolerance, et cetera - no matter what else is going on in the country/world - are welcome to join me at a new website/forum, that will be up and running soon, The Color Line. Lastly, to the person that wrote the self-aggrandizing post lecturing me about W.E.B. DuBois, I have this to say: It does not matter what the man's politics (and character flaws) were.

Like it or not, none of that makes what he wrote about the color line any LESS TRUE.
