So what do you do, if you first buy a phd from st.regis and - too bad - st.regis gets busted? Well, you transfer it to James Monroe University. So now James Monroe University got busted. So what do you do? Change it to Robertstown? No sir, you get a new and french one from Ecole Superieur Robert de Sorbonne, of course summa cum laude!

Makes my head slam against the wall...

Don't forget, this disappeared some time back too:

1995: Bachelor of Arts in Translating and Interpreting, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.

    Why?

    Cheers,

Regarding John Dovelos, see my relatively recent post here.

Oh, my. Well... please don't do that either too long or too hard. John Dovelos, of all people, isn't worth it.

Anyway, based on my understanding of where and how his name is showing-up in some of the diploma mill-related documents collected by authorities during their recent searches of the homes and businesses of Randock, et al, it may be Dovelos who's doing the head slamming, gnashing of teeth, pacing, wringing of hands, and growing of ulcers right about now.

We all visit a variety of websites in our day-to-day business. Here's one that John has likely visited recently.

Were that that were the only one like it, Jack. This whole fake identity on the web thing has gotten so bad that there are web sites that rate the fake ID sites, critiquing such things as, for example, quality of the laminate, quality of the hologram, how real it really looks and whether it's likely to fool a bouncer at a bar, etc., etc.

And fake ID sites usually all have links to fake diploma sites. It's all the same genre of criminality. John Dovelos is but one of the criminals.

And since we know he reads these threads, my having repeated this, he'll be calling me a whore monger and other pretty names in AED and the Crabby Forum any minute now.

Actually, I wish he'd get pissed-off and sue me. I'd love to get that sawed-off little prick into a U.S. court of law!

...and some fools commit credit card fraud

You may recall how some of the scum egged on other scum to commit credit card fraud against me. Well, they did.

I found a number of fake charges on my credit card--an internet service company of some sort in Tel Aviv (numerous charges), an escort service (!), and two or three other things. This began just a few days after the incitement to credit card fraud was posted on a nutjob forum last month.

Needless to say, my credit card provider's fraud department was quite interested in web and other addresses and information on the Spokane Raid and the Great Ultra-White North. The nice lady to whom I spoke said that getting IP addresses of the perps would be no problem at all and that cross-border prosecution, if warranted, posed no difficulties.

Pulling this dumb, fraudulent, illegal stunt may well account for a bit of the increasing rage from certain scum on other fora. The great German philosopher Karl Jaspers once observed that the worst and dumbest Nazis had the angriest self-excuses after the war. Mutatis mutandis (if there really are any mutanda, that is), this phenomenon has been on full display over the last few weeks.

I'm sorry for these troubles Uncle.

As for Karl Jaspers, he's a man I've much admired. He resurrected the German higher education system from the sewers following WWII. He was, on more than one occasion, described as, "The last man who knew everything." His book Way To Wisdom remains to this day, one of the most accessible works on Philosophy. Have a pleasant holiday.

Thanks, Jack. I had an annoyance. Somebody else is in trouble.
Yup, Jaspers is terrific. Enjoy your holiday, too. I gotta work Sundays. ;)

...that anonymizers (and ripped-off merchants--although an escort service hardly merits such a respectable term) do cooperate with federal and local law enforcement authorities when fraud has been committed.

I have to say that I feel a bit left-out, since I'm hardly ever mentioned on the Crabby Forum.

Being a former detective myself, I have MANY friends that are still detectives. Those detective friends would be more than happy to apply for search warrants, apply for criminal complaints, and subpeona the records of suspect schools that have done business with MA residents.

This is what's known as "a word to the wise".

Also, please keep in mind the "Long-Arm Statute".

    RE: John Dovelos and Websites

    Jack,

While Dovelos may have visited that site recently, here's one I visit regularly. I generally start off by plugging in names such as John Dovelos, Neil Hayes, Dr. Rev. Swift Eagle Justice, etc. (Okay, scratch the Chief - he's basically harmless) and hope that one day my vigilance will be rewarded.
