Computer question?

Since I suck at computers, I wanted to throw this question out there. This morning I noticed my e-mail notifications from degreeinfo.com are going into my trash can. What's up with that? And no, I am not putting them in there accidentally.

My wife reinstalled McAfee virus and personal firewall plus yesterday(2005 version) because it expired. Could this have anything to do with it? if so, is there a setting I could change?

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Abner

Actually, some, not all e-mail notifications are going into the trash can, just wanted to clarify that.

    thanks,

You mean they're actually even sending email notifications? Guess I better check my email! Eh?

Ha! I even forward some of the e-mail notifications from the trash into my in box. A little while later, they go back into the trash? What the heck? Has this happened to anyone else?

It could be the setting in your email to automatically delete junk mail. It notifications may be seen as junk mail.

    Abner,

I know, from another thread, that you're using MSN, but how... by web interface or using Microsoft Outlook Express? And are you saying that MSN is your ISP? I mean, in what way, precisely, are you using MSN?

If the symptom appeared immediately thereafter; and if those are the only things that have changed on your computer, then I'd say most definitely. At least it's possible.
