Many advanced course use "readings" - papers and excerpts collected under fair use. With the ubiquity of classroom laptop computers, I wonder when we'll see these distributed in the form of CD-ROMs? This would allow cheaper electronic reading - print out at the users option (and added cost). -Orson
That's one of the reasons I liked Heriot-Watt. All of their texts are in PDF. If I can't remeber the details of something, I can do a search and it will bring me to the exact places in the books. For actual studying however, I still prefer paper.
