With a record 40 million people estimated to travel this holiday weekend, I started to think about long summer drives in the car. If you were to burn your personal 'ultimate road trip cd', which 10-15 songs would it include?

Road Trip CD Marylars, I can't really answer your question since I have many "favorite 15-20 song CDs" that I have burned. I get music off I-tunes and from my CDs and I have even burned most of my 70's vinyl records to CDs. I have some pretty neat equipment for this. My favorites include sad country songs, other country songs, and 70's rock n roll. Probably my all time favorite is "Last one to Know" by Reba McEntire. Just last week, I bought myself a new stereo for my car so that I could directly plug in my Creative Zen (like an iPod only better with 40GB hard drive!) But the beauty of my new car stereo is that even without the iPod, I can burn mp3s and wma files directly to a CD and they play like regular CDs. I just burned a CD with 172 songs on it (I think it is a total of about 15 CDs). This will be my ultimate road trip CD for a while.
Commodores - Brickhouse Wild Cherry - Play That Funky Music White Boy. Earth Wind and Fire - Serpentine Fire Stevie Wonder - Superstition KC and the Sunshine Band - That's the Way I Like It. Otis Redding - Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. Norah Jones - Turn Me On Norah Jones - Painter Song Lynard Skynard - Sweet Home Alabama. Eagles - Hotel California Boston - Rock n Roll Band Boston - More than a Feeling Santana - Oye Como Va Santana - Maria Maria Gun's N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle Van Halen - Jump Van Halen - I'll Wait Van Halen - Right Now 3 Doors Down - Here Without You. 3 Doors Down - Kryptonite Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart I busted my budget a little but this is about as far as I would want to narrow it down for one CD. This would give me a little old school funk, good rock, and a few easy listening songs. I have all of these plus many more in my MP3 player, along with some new school music with great beats and lyrics that I can't understand
Boy, that would be a tough one. I can give you my top 5 bands. 1. Dokken 2. Stryper 3. Journey 4. Cinderella 5. Megadeth I am sure I will catch flack on this, but hey. My favorite songs are 1. Bridge Over Troubled Waters 2. Weekend In New England 3. Born on a Bayou 4. More Than A Feeling 5. Dont Stop Believin'
