What Do You Look Like? Occupation?

This may be a huge faux pas for me to ask, and I certainly don't want to take this in the direction of the lewd or lascivious.

I know DI is not some type of dating service for lonely distance learners, but I was just curious as to GENERAL, VAGUE descriptions of your age range and what you do and what you look like, to put a face with the handle, so to speak.

Please don't include anything like measurements or how "good looking" you are or such nonsense, I don't want to be responsible for starting a thread that makes this forum as trite and crude as some other sites in cyberland.

I'll start:

Small-time lawyer, college instructor.

I'm 40, blondish hair, a couple inches shorter than average. I look vaguely Swedish or Danish. No beard or such, I look young and my face belies my age, but my receding hairline gives the matter away. Just a nondescript guy.

I am ancient and gnome like, sort of a cross between Yoda and Dick Cheney with maybe a dash of Phyllis Dyller. Most of my day is spent figuring out how to protect major corporations from the financial claims all those homeless, crippled widows.

I freeze flowers with my breath and my slightest opinion causes Heaven to tremble for fear that it (Heaven) may have made a mistake.

Death himself is afraid of me.

I have a baby face and people tell me that I look about 10 years younger. I'm 45 and while at the swimming pool this week (I'm a distance lap swimmer), a woman told me that I look 32 years old. When I told her that we were both the same age, she was devestated and she commented that she looks old. No, she doesn't look old. She simply looks like a 45 year old woman.

Once while in full cop-uniform and while walking up to an elderly woman with Alzheimers disease, she pointed her finger at me and said to her sister, "Look!!! It's a police boy!!!"

My age is finally catching up with me, but I still look young.

If you didn't know you're age and if it was your birthday, then hold old would you be/feel?

I was 23 when I was in LE - I looked all of 16 - boy, I broke out an old picture of myself the other day and my 12 year old daughter didn't even recognize a once skinny and in shape dad - lol.

I am 43, opinionated, still in pretty good shape (better shape than my brother who is a cop and weights about 260). --- and, I still have a full head of hair (albeit salt and pepper now)

I am an administrator at a medium-sized state university in urban Chicago. I supervise the area that administers the online course management system and provides instructional technology training and development for the university. I also teach online graduate courses in educational technology as an adjunct professor for a private university.

I am average height and slightly above average weight (something that I am working to resolve). I am Puerto Rican, but have light skin and light brown hair, so nobody believes that I am Hispanic until I start speaking to them in Spanish.

I'm very sorry Mr. Engineer. I don't know why I was acting under the misapprehension that you were younger. I thought you'd recently completed the engineering degree and were in your 20s. My bad, I apologize for referring to you elsewhere as "a generation younger" than me. You're actually a couple years older! I'd better treat my elders with more respect! (BTW, not yanking your chain, really thought you were younger)
