I'm curious, would there be any interest among DegreeInfo readers in South Florida in getting together to meet? I remember at one point there was a thread about having some kind of actual convention, but I'm just talking about something informal along the lines of an gathering at a local Borders or restaurant. -=Steve=-

Count me in...what about PF Changs in Boca or Sublime in Ft Lauderdale. These are two of my favorite. Oh...don't forget Sushi Saigon on South Beach. The food is GREAT
I had a wonderful meeting with John B, Chip W, Bill D and Russ B approx 2 years ago (was it that long ago?) at John's house. He was kind enough to raise the Aussie flag for me. It was a great afternoon, reminiscing over the good ol' AED days etc etc. I would love to be in New York for the AACRAO convention - alas, the PhD now takes pride of place. Cheers, George
Tampa, Tampa, Tampa please!! I have family in Tampa, Florida who are well-known for their deliciously wicked BBQ's in the sand. Tampa is a logical choice since some Degreeinfo members are in contention to apply to become my 3rd or 4th or 5th family ...... (Unfortunately, may sound like "temper, temper, temper ..... even though there are absolutely no tempers shown on tempers on Degreeinfo). Thanks.
Sorry Jake, when I said "South Florida" I meant Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade. I don't know Sheila Danzig, or even of her, but she's right around the corner, so why not? Considering the area I'd think that somewhere easy to find in Fort Lauderdale would be best, and that seems to be in the middle of the suggestions. How about the Borders at Galleria? Get on I-95, take the Sunrise Blvd. East exit, then after a little while it's on the right. Easy. So if that's not outrageous to people, then when would be best? A Saturday evening? -=Steve=-
