What states prohibit diploma mills?

    There has been much discussion of the Oregon Office of Degree Approval on degreeinfo.com.

    But doesn't Hawaii, NJ, NY, and New Jersey also have similar laws .

    (I get this impression from various media reports over the years).

    Depends on what you mean by "prevent." If you mean laws that prohibit the use of degrees from certain types of schools, then yeah. But if you mean "prevent" as in preventing them from operating in their respective states, they all do, technically. In reality, of course, it is much different.

    We talk about the ODA because it as been very visible, and its administrator posts here.
