    KARACHI, March 10 (Online): MQM parliamentarian and minister of state for religious affairs Dr. Aami Liaqat has allegedly purchased fake degrees of Masters in Islamic Studies, Masters in Business Administration and PhD from 'The Trinity College and University, Spain which is an unrecognized university, besides the university is not included in the list of recognized international universities available with Karachi University, reports Karachi based Urdu Daily.

    Oh, good. A fake masters in *Islamic Studies* from a fake *Trinity* University, in *Spain*! And this is supposed to be plausible in Pakistan??? How do you say "gimme a break" in Urdu?

    Wow... hoo, boy... does that "article" ever serve as a reminder of the importance of typical U.S. journalism school ethics and the importance of not intermingling opinion and editorial comment with hard news. Yikes! That story is, in that respect, an abomination.

    I find it very odd how this article keeps referring to him as "Dr" when it is a known fact that his PhD is fake. :rolleyes:

    He is supposed to have a medical degree as well, and I think this is bona fide, but the reports are clouded. Perhaps that is the reason.
