I am revisiting Somerset University. The original phony ran from Ilminster, Somerset in the 80s, and seems to have been long gone.

However now there is a site
    www.somersetuniversity.org
that suggests it is the same place, and claims to be in the tiny town of Ilminster.

    However:
The website is registered to a man in London, claiming the address of 34 Somerset Blvd., London.

I can find no evidence of such a street -- and I wonder if the word "Boulevard" is used in association with streets in London.

I suspect this is something entirely new, doing business entirely on the internet, so it doesn't matter where they really are, or even where they claim to be.

Reflections, especially on the London address issue, will be welcome.

Mmm, I don't know about you John, but this smells of another rebadged UDP - what do you think?

    Cheers,

    George

excellent guess...if you take into consideration, that the owner of the domain does not live in "somerset boulevard" in London, which doesn't exist, but in Israel considering the orbwebs.com registree, although the server is in the us, this sounds quite possible.

Somersetuniversity.com which is the same "school" with simply a different website is registered to a:

    Antony Bailey,
    16 Thames Crescent ,
    Chiswick, SW4 2RU, England.

In my brief google search I could not find the existence of the address either.

Unfortunately, I have to run, but do check out www.somersetuniversity.com and click on "About Us" for more addressess including a U.S. address.
