Access to online libraries has been an occasional topic here at degreeinfo as people try to supplement their studies, etc. The story below indicates that Google is parterning with a number of well known libraries (Oxford, Harvard, Stanford, NY Public Library, etc.) scanning millions of books for free online access.

This is good news Jack. There are a couple of reasonably decent libraries on line like JSTOR and Questia, but this new Google library comes at a good time. With more and more schools offering distance learning courses and degree programs, on line libraries are going are becoming necessary component in the learning process.
