A while back I remember reading a list compiled by university faculty to better understand their new incoming students. It had several interesting insights regarding incoming freshmen such as:

"Your freshman class has never bought an album or a cassette tape for music; PACMAN-what's that? ; not aware that motor oil used to come in cans; never had to use carbon paper on forms, etc..." Basically, funny statements differentiating between the two generations that makes their professors seem like dinosaurs.

I've located old Pre-1999 versions, but I cannot find one current within the past two years. Does anyone have a link/or listing they can share.

    Thanks,

Unless I am mistaken, you can still by a cassette tape at the music stores... I could be wrong i don't step foot into them anymore.

It's kind of amazing how fast history moves.

Here it is 2004, the 21'st century. I'm in my fifties. Both of my mother's parents died when she was young and she and her brother were raised by their grandparents (my great grandparents). And these kind-hearted people were born back in the 1860's, I believe, around the time of the Civil War. My mom's outlook was shaped in large part by people who were middle aged before they first saw an automobile, and my mom in turn influenced me tremendously. Perhaps I'm the last of the Victorians.

If the average person lives 70 years, there have been just 4.3 lifetimes between today and Isaac Newton in 1700.
