    Jimmy, greetings,

I personally think it's shameful, shameful, shameful that doctors are trying to take the place of God and KILLING BABIES!

I would not be sursprised if the abortion doctors wanted to start to try to do the same thing here in the U.S.!

Maybe it's me, but I always thought doctors were here to help the sick, to save lives, to try and find cures for the sick and to help improve the quality of life?

Gee, just think, these doctors spend all that time and money getting an education in Medical school so they can in the long run just kill people, because they have no so called "free will"!

If thats the case, they should have joined the army, they could have learned how to kill in shorter period of time!

    But hey, thats just me!

    Hi Rich,

    How's Trinity going?

Yes, it's a shame! What's really sad is that many in our own country want America to imitate countries like Holland!

    Take care,

I missed this part. Where did it say doctors were playing God? The article DID say this:

"The guideline says euthanasia is acceptable when the child's medical team and independent doctors agree the pain cannot be eased and there is no prospect for improvement, and when parents think it's best."

Even if the doctors AND parents think it's best, you would want the doctors to prolong life and pain?

Are you saying that you want the power taken from doctors and parents, and that unrelated parties (you, for example) should have jurisdiction over how treatment is applied?

I missed this as well. Was there something in the article that said doctors don't help the sick, or find cures, or improve quality of life?

This is a bit of a stretch, don't you think? From the article, one might say that some doctors in the Netherlands are attempting to ease the suffering of dying patients, and suddenly and generally, doctors are running around exercising their free will and killing people. If this is the case, then start rounding up doctors and exercising "citizen's arrest." Get these murderers behind bars before they murder all of us.

In all seriousness - if you've ever had a loved one teetering on the edge of death, you know that at a certain point what becomes paramount and absolutely unavoidable is the need and the desire to end the suffering. I think this is particularly true in the case of a child. Having a doctor that understands that ALL aspects of one's life, including the last stage before death, must be managed appropriately, is a blessing, not a curse. I would argue that doctors who blindly keep administering treatment in the face of the inevitable are the ones who are really trying to "play God."

    King George V was euthenized

To depart from the topic, it is well known in Britain that King George V was euthenized so that his obituary would appear in the "right newspapers".

Right. And then people seemed surprised that his moral-idiot eldest son was a Nazi sympathizer.
