The "er" connection!!

    It's interesting to see that major authors for various management subjects have rhyming last names... dont take my word for it, observe:

    General Management: DruckER
    Marketing Management: KotlER
    Project Management: KerznER

    Any othERs that I am missing out on?? :D

    ps: fun intended here... not trying to diss the authors (at least intentionally) :p

    I think that's because these are German names that originally derived from vocations. Germanic languages typically denote workers by work + er.

    In English we have names like Baker, Carpenter, Singer and Farmer. Other vocationally derived names include Smith, Shepherd and Clark (from clerk and even earlier, cleric).

    I think that Eisenhower means ironworker in German.
