I am asking for some URLs I would appreciate if somebody can provide me with appropriate (serious and useful) forums' URLs for Java Developers/Programmers. Thank you, Ralph
Google's web & groups search engine (www.google.com) has always been my best source. It will pick up postings on other discussion sites and news groups. A Java guru told me some time ago to enter the keyword "java" followed by the class or what I was searching for. Rick H.
Funny DBA with an MBA(?)! But I am serious. I would appreciate if a Java developer in the forum can reply. It will be very straightforward for anyone that is involved on online Java discussions to tell me right away which ones were the most useful according to personal experience. This is the main reason for what we are here, to get and provide useful information, isn't it? Cheers, Ralph
Actually Ralph, I was being serious. A couple of months ago, I wrapped up an XML data transport project using SOAP headers which connected a MS SQL Server source to a sun solaris/Oracle server target. I used AXIS, Xerces and some other packages that the therapy has allowed me to forget, all on an eclipse development platform. During the development time, I found that no one discussion forum or wesite contained the help needed for the project. Google was critical in finding the arcane java knowlege spread out across the net. That, and constantly bugging any and all local java guru's. Please feel free to PM me with any Java issue that you're having problems with. I'll help if I can. Rick
Thank you Rajyc Thanks Rick. I am not in trouble right now, but I will definitely count on you if something arises. Ralph
