http://www.cnn.com/2004/EDUCATION/08/19/college.rankings.ap/index.html (AP) -- Perhaps a playoff is in order. For the second straight year, Harvard and Princeton share the top spot in the controversial U.S. News & World Report rankings of "America's Best Colleges."
Personally, I think that you could take the top five, shuffle the deck and then deal them out again and it would be believable regardless of the order in which they appeared. At that level (and perhaps at any other level) the difference between adjacent placeholders must be miniscule. Jack
For the better part of a decade, Harvard, Princeton and Yale have played musical chairs for the #1, #2 & #3 spots in the US News poll. No surprises here. There's your news Tony
Hey Bruce, There is only one problem with your statement, those "damn" Yankees always seem to come out to be number one, no matter what happens!! Rich Hartel
The problem with any sort of national rankings is the question is incomplete. "Best U.S. Colleges"? Best for WHOM?
Just like last year, let's just hope that the mananger pulls the pitcher in the 8th, when he needs to!! Rich Hartel
