I was checking H-Net for information on another topic, and ran across the new H-SA-Higher-Education listserv. Thought some of you folks, especially those of you doing doctorates by distance learning from South Africa, might be interested. Description:

H-SA-Higher-Education is a moderated internet discussion forum about issues in South African higher education. It was first conceived in conjunction with a major conference on South African Higher Education, "Academic Partnerships with South Africans For Mutual Capacity Building" hosted by Michigan State University in collaboration with the Historically Disadvantaged Institutions Forum, the Committee on Technikon Principals, and the South African Universities' Vice Chancellors' Association, 19-21 October 1999. The H-SA-Higher-Education list is being launched from the Centre for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE, formerly known as the Education Policy Unit, or EPU) at the University of the Western Cape in Bellville, Cape Town, South Africa. The CSHE is a major centre of higher education research in South Africa and celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2002..
