Actually, I don't have anything to say, pro or con, about gay cops. I just thought the topic would get a rise out of Bruce.
Thanks for the wake-up call, Steve. There are very few openly gay police officers. Given the number of other cops that I've worked with over the years, the chances are pretty good that I have worked with a gay officer. However, as I've stated before, I really don't care what someone's sexual preference is. I'm much more concerned with their ability to do the job than what they choose to do off-duty.
Re: Re: Gay Police Officers I imagine every profession and every organization have gays in their midst. I'd bet even the KKK has some gay members! Instead of being in the closet they're in the sheets!
Here, let me try: I've known many more gay pastors than gay cops (although I've known a couple of those). Tom Nixon
The second part of this statement isn't surprising, given Steve's normal modus operandi of posting to get a response. But the first part, "I don't have anything to say, pro or con?" Is this really Steve Levicoff?
Absolutely! I served with gay soldiers in my 11-year military career. They were just as patriotic and HOOOAAAHH as the straight soldiers.. Personally, I didn't care if the army gave me a company full of flaming homos. As long as they killed and maimed the enemy on my command, these suckers (no pun intended) are okay in my book.
