Here's a college program that I bet that you haven't seen before: Exotic Animal Management.

It's offered by a California community college, Moorpark College in Ventura County.

This is pretty cool. It's the only college program of its kind in the United States and it operates its own zoo. They have monkeys, camels, wolves, Bengal tigers and African lions. They have lots of birds and reptiles, even tarantulas and hissing cockroaches.

    Some photos-

Apparently it's very highly regarded. Zoos all over the country recruit zookeepers from them. They claim to place 80% of their graduates and the rest mostly continue their educations. Graduates work for employers like zoos, the US Navy (training marine mammals to be undersea operatives), animal parks and Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. Their work appears on 'Animal Planet' and they are the people who brought you the Aflac duck.

Needless to say, it's not DL. But there is a DL connection. They have an articulation agreement with California State University, Bakersfield's DL B.S. in Environmental Resource Management that allows graduates to do the last two years of that bachelors degree program online while they are employed taming lions or caring for cockroaches elsewhere.

    A faq:

    I like it!
