Beginning tomorrow, July 23rd, it will be available from UMI. Print and microfilm versions are available; it is not available electronically (for obvious reasons). (I'm not suggesting anyone buy it, I'm just reporting this update regarding its status.)

    Goodnight to the trolls.

Rich, Could I be the first to get a UMI/DegreeInfo discount? Even 10% would be great...............;)

The dissertation I worked so hard to suppress (while incessantly bragging about it--go figure) is now for sale. Predicted sales for 2004: none. But that's just my prediction.

A lot of people wondered about that.

I have confirmed it is now on UMI for sale.

Range is from $39 to $56 depending if you get unbound vs. hard bound copy.

No, a few. And all with something very much in common.

I think that you owe Dr. Rich Douglas an apology.

And if Rich would allow a UMI/DegreeInfo discount of 10%, one could save from $3.90 to $5.60............:D

Seriously, I received a copy of the dissertation from Rich himself via e-mail attachment. It was interesting and informative.

As usual, you missed the point. Stop them if they're going too fast for you.

Todd - Where are your quotes coming from, I haven't seen them on this thread.

Imports and unsuitable for the tenor of this board and it would be my preference that it be removed.

    Other place - other situation.

Same person, though. But in an unmoderated environment, so the poster's true nature can come through unfettered.

Civility and respect for others obviates the need for moderation. We see the results when they are lacking.

Quoting such things is definitely on-topic.

Rude, disrespectful, driven by an incredibly self-serving agenda to make innumerable outrageous and unsupported statements, wrapped in a refusal to ever, ever back up the same. Well, life doesn't have a re-wind button, and you can't un-ring a bell.

I didn't say I wouldn't post similar sentiments, just not here out of respect for this forum.

Once again, Dennis, your comments are laughable. If the sum totals of your posts on this and other fora have a common theme, it is a profound disrespect for DegreeInfo and its members. This, of course, is by design, for it appears that your sole purpose in posting here is to curry favor with your friends on other fora (most of whom have been banned from this forum).

Inadvertently (don’t worry your record remains intact), however, you have brought up an important issue: To what extent should the members of DegreeInfo be concerned or take action to protect our community from members who clearly exhibit behaviors (even if they take place on other venues) that are purposely crafted to disrupt, discredit, and damage the reputation and effectiveness of this forum and its members?

Should a community turn a blind eye to egregious behavior that is blatantly damaging to the community or its members simply because the transgressions were committed elsewhere? How much tolerance should be accorded an individual, who consorts with those who clearly wish to see this forum destroyed, and joins them in obsessive behaviors (ranging from puerile insults to Machiavellian fabrications) that are clearly excogitated to bring about the demise of the community?

    Paging Dr. Kavanagh.
