http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2004-07-18-new-masters_x.htm is the URL for an article in the 7-19-04 edition of USAToday. Although not offered by distance learning (yet), the article details a new type of master's degree: the PSM or professional science master's. Described as a 'MBA for techies', it is a graduate program combining elements of a grad degree in a science along with the business components of a MBA. An interesting concept, and I wonder if it will take off. I did the same thing the hard way: a MSc in chemistry back in the early 80's and a MBA awarded in 2000.
PSM degrees Michael. IIT offers a psm on line. See the following link and follow to psm http://www.iit-online.iit.edu Thanks for the link to the USA Today article. I think the concept will catch on too.
