I'm sorry for such self - centered, jubilee of mostly private interest!

Just got off the phone with my informal dissertation Reader whose PhD is from Dallas. I was really sweating his evaluation of my chapter as the topic of that chapter is very difficult, and I disagree with what he has published about that concept. I even criticize his published defense of his view in my chapter. I was sure my big mouth had gotten me in trouble again!

But he found my ideas convincing and that my ideas were explained better than most expressions in the literature on that topic. And I feel soooo GOOD! :)

Congrats Grover. Most of your knowledge in the area of faith and faith based education blows me away. I hope good luck will come my way as well.

Bill, I think they can hear you all the way from Dallas to Durban.
Let's hope little Pitchers has big ears and agrees entirely!
Once again, well done. You are an example to all of us.

Thanks. I suppose under other circumstances I would feel sheepish about being excited about a good report on just one chapter. This informal, local reader [the formal readers are from three SA universities] has looked at and liked already three other chapters before this one.

But this chapter ,and the next one too, are the real tests for me because of the complexity and debatable nature of the subject matter and because of my interpretations of it.

I still hope to be done, except for minor corrections, by Nov.

    Thanks again,

    Thanks, Bill H.

For what it is worth, I owe the good folks here at degreeinfo a great deal. It was here that I was first steered to my program. And it is here that I am encouraged in it.

    Bill,

For some reason this thread went unnoticed. I have been meaning to send you a PM regarding our discussion on secularism, but I keep on forgetting. I, like the others, also wanted to congratulate you for this great achievement. You are a wise man, and I am sure you´ll succeed in obtaining your doctoral degree. Good luck and keep us posted.

    Cordial greetings.

    To Bill Grover, greetings again,

I was wondering how you did your Doc. Dissertation.

Did you do the hole thing in Greek, or just in certain places?

And what were some of your sources, some of the early church fathers?

If you can let me know, when you have a chance!!

Thank You, and as always, continued success in the remainder your Doc. work!!

No time to be modest, Bill, GOOD is GOOD! Congrats and keep up the good work. I know it is difficult and time consuming but believe me just being addressed one time as Dr. makes all the pain go away.

    Thanks Rich

I am pretty heavy into the early church fathers in several places, yes. Greek and just a tiny bit of Hebrew, as I'm incompetent there, is used when I am required to do work in the text. It is translitered so only English is required to read it, though.

Thanks Howard. I am looking forward to getting done and being able to be called 'Dr." I've been busy with problems of my boys last few days, and must get back to writing.
