I never noticed that the DegreeInfo private message mailbox also saves a copy of all your outgoing mail. The size of this also is apparently factored in when calculating whether a new message will be accepted in your inbox. So in case you were wondering why the number in your inbox keeps getting smaller when you're getting so mailbox full messages then you may need to clean out you outbox as well.
