I am unable to view threads. I speculate that I am not the only one who is experiencing this technical difficulty because only about 20 people are logged on to this site (when there are usually about 45 or more).

Are you receiving similar complaints?

Once I leave this thread, the board will not allow me to return here because it won't give any link to click on to bring me back here. The only way I can return to this thread is by bookmarking it, which I have done.

What is going on with the software?

Maybe somebody and/or the software doesn't like you? :D
Seriously, if you are using Internet Explorer you might want to try using the "clear cookies" feature and see if that helps.

In addition to what Jerry suggested, I'll see if I can do anything on this end.

When I click on "todays active topics," it provides:
    • the name of the thread starter -- fine
    • the forum that it's in -- fine
    • the number of replies (usually, I can click on this and it will tell how many replies each poster has inside the thread -- but it is now unresponsive) -- fine
    • the number of views -- fine
    • date of the last post -- fine
    • But it does not provide the thread title or a link to the thread!!!
[*]Also, the "reply" buttons at the very top and bottom of the screen are gone!!! So, if I want to reply to this thread, I have to hit a "quote" button.
Yesterday, I upgraded my firewall, but I don't see how that could be doing this. Strangely, I am experiencing the same problem at officer.com. All the other websites that I visit are working just fine (and/or are interacting with my computer just fine).

Thus the question --> Is this problem unique to me or are a large number of other people also experiencing this strange problem? Are the daily stats normal or is there a sudden drop-off in the numbers?

Wow, now I am suddenly able to view the forum after being deprived of it for over four days. Go figure.

    I haven't been having problems.

Oops I mean installing that door this weekend was a pain but I meant having problems viewing DegreeInfo.

P.S. My guess is that you have a spybot or adware running amock on your system. I suggest you run a utility program to clean up your system. I like AD-AWARE. Here's a free download.

It appears that a newly downloaded Norton's Internet Security program (2004 edition) was messing up my computer, so I ditched it and got a refund and am now using AGV instead. Finally, the problem is resolved. :)

    Hey Me

I had the problem once too!!!

Maybe this is you, maybe not.

    Are you using AOL?
degreeinfo.com is not a loving buddy with the AOL server.

If so use explorer, but before, go in and delete you cookies and temp internet files.

    Hope this helps if applicable.

    Veteran101,

The problem is now fixed (because I got rid of Norton's 2004 Internet Security Program). However, it is the weirdest problem that I have ever seen -- and it is virtually impossible to describe to people (you have to show it to them for them to fully understand it). A picture is worth a thousand words. Literally.
