Just why does she fry your bones

I am a conservative and don't listen to Rush or read Coulter. Don't listen to O'Reilly or Hannity. They are trying to make a fuss so people will read their columns and listen to their shows. It is really all about show business and I don't need them or some Hollywood hypocrite to provide me with my political thought. I am more than capable of doing that myself and am probably way more educated and informed on the issues than either Rush, Coulter, Streisand or any of the others. Very few in my political circle listen to them either. I think liberals spend more time listening to her than we do. They sure seem to get your goats. Of course, as soon as I voice a conservative opinion some liberal opines that it came from one of them so it would appear Coulter and Co. have company in their narrow mindedness.

She is hot though and that can get my attention. Heck, while I was at the Iowa caucuses for Bush I stayed at the same hotel with the Gore contingent. If I hadn't a been happily married, that sweet young thing that was passing out Gore buttons at breakfast would have converted me on the spot!

You must discuss things with a different class of conservatives than I do. My conservative friends are always quoting Rush or O'Reilly. No one quotes much Coultier. They would have to read to do that.

Now, to be fair, my one conservative friend who doesn't quote them is 17 and brillant. He had dinner with Cheney and the governor of Tennessee recently.

!LOL! I saw that pic too, but out of respect for certain sensibilities here (and to avoid having someone "tell teacher" on me) I avoided posting it....

I said in my political circles

I am very actively involved in politics and the actual machinery of the elections. People who hang on every word of leftist and rightist pudits tend to be more of the armchair types.

    More Treason

    A more balanced review:

I'll take Ann Coulter's simplistic narrative over Noam Chomsky's pseudointellectual United States hating boulder dash.

Let's see....she's a graduate of Cornell, University of Michigan Law School, and was Editor of the Michigan Law Review.

Yeah, she has no brains.

I believe that's an Olympic event this year -- the 100 meter boulder dash. Comes just before Casting Aspersions and after Hurling Invective.

Do we know if Ann Coulter is in the same family tree with Catherine Coulter who writes popular FBI-based mystery novels? (Her 'Blindside' is my current audio book, to pass the time while on that 9-mile parking lot called the Bay Bridge.)

And I've wondered if it is entirely coincidental that the arch villain in Philip Pullman's extraordinarily wonderful* "Dark Materials" trilogy, is "Mrs. Coulter."

There's likely a good amount of invective in Hurling but surely less than in Boulder Dash. Then there's that pole tossing thing that gives me a hernia just watching.

As for Casting Aspersions...well, just claim you were discovered at Schwab's.

Wow, I dunno. This from the Schwab's (Lana Turner) link:

"MGM starred her opposite Clark Gable in Honky Tonk and Robert Taylor in Johnny Eager. The were eager to capitalize on the flashy blonde trusses and the sexy figure of their young star."

I didn't know they came in colours.

But they could account for the sexy figure. Or not.

How many did the poor thing have to wear, anyway?

Maybe she watched too much pole tossing, too.

    "Couching" your terms?

  14. Re: Re: She fries my bones because...

Back where I come from we had a term for that - it is called "book smart".

Too bad the conclusions she draws from all that education have led to such an erroneous and even fraudulent (i.e., I do think she KNOWS better) portrayal of America, liberals, and history.

I do believe that Dr. Joseph Goebbels was also fairly well educated, was he not?

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have followed his advice either, had I lived in those times. Nor would I have regarded him as someone who has "brains", despite his doctorate from Heidelberg University. I would have regarded him as a propagandist shill and tool of the fascists, which is pretty much how I regard the lovely & intelligent, yet dangerously misguided, Ms. Coulter.

Does Godwin's Law apply to DegreeInfo?

And by the way, Ann Coulter is not a babe. She may be better looking than most K Street lawyers, but that doesn't exactly make her Jaime Pressly.

I believe that Godwin's Law is asymptotic so so should be your losing. You can approach loss but not get there. Hopefully not a so-so response.

Steve summed it up perfectly....as soon as you tried to compare Ann Coulter to Goebbels, you lost all credibility. Your argument against Coulter is so bankrupt that you have to resort to that sort of name-calling?

If you've ever seen Ann Coulter speak, you'd have an idea of how smart she is. BTW....in the looks department, she's a little too skinny for my tastes.
