    Hi folks,

I was wondering how many discussion boards deal with distance learning and accreditation issues. Here are the ones that come to mind:Are there more?

To the best of my knowledge you've hit the highlights (or in some cases, the lowlights) of the universal forums. Beyond this I believe you become limited to the discussion forums provided by (and for) individual schools. For example, I believe that UNISA provides a discussion forum (although it seemed to be underutilized the last time I checked).

    Jack,

UNISA's Student Cafe now requires students to log in with student number and password, due to previous abuse.

One current discussion topic is the new UNISA diploma. Which apparently bears the coats of arms of both Technikon South Africa and UNISA, and states that UNISA was formed in January, 2004.

Another wants to discuss U.S. Army abuse of Iraqi prisoners.

Though requiring students to log on with student numbers has significantly reduced much of the useless chatter, it still requires still too much of an effort to sort out which threads are worth reading. I glance at the Student Cafe fora about once a week.

Other topics include, Rugby super 12, love hurt, Sex and the City, I'm looking 4 love!, and of course many course specific topics.

Many UNISA modules have their own fora for students enrolled in a specific modules. There are also separate subject fora for some subjects such as languages, law and education.
