I am curious what industry people work in that have a Ph.D/DBA/Ed.D.

I would assume that most of these degree holders would work in the education field but I could be wrong.

    Thanks.

    Good question.

I don't have a Doctorate, but I would also like to know the reasons people have for getting one. I am considering getting a doctorate so that I may teach in a University, or advance in an Information Technology position at a university. Universities seem to be the only places I've seen that require/prefer their directors of information technology/Systems to have PhDs.

Were we able to pick more than one?

Hard to choose. "The business of education" would be a good fit.

Randell: I sent you a PM but your box was full. Did you get all 5 files from me?

I selected "Education" firstly, because I currently teach part-time at a university, secondly because I hope to become a fulltime professor this year, and thirdly because my current fulltime employment does not require a PhD.
