Has anyone else heard of this?

Subject: LOST JOBS Date: Tue, 16 Mar 2004 10:10:25 EST Kerry does not like off shore companies: Oh Really? Just came across a bit of information regarding Kerry and his claim of the Bush administration sending jobs abroad. Well, it seems that the Heinz Corporation, owned by Kerry's wife, has 79 plants where it manufacturers products and 57 of the 79 are located in countries outside of the U.S. How many U.S. jobs are lost here? Factories located at: Taipei,Taiwan (makes Heinz baby foods)Dublin,Ireland;Paris,France;Dovarmenez, France;Lisbon,Portugal; Madrid,Spain; Milan,Italy; Monguzzo,Italy; Athens,Greece; Warsaw,Poland; Pudliszki,Poland; Wodzislaw,Poland; Miedzychod,Poland; Moscow,Russia; Georgievisk,Russia; Cairo,Egypt; Tel Aviv,Isreal; Haifa,Isreal; Elst,The Netherlands and 6 other plants there; Brussels,Belgium; Dusseldorf,Germany; Seesen,Germany; Turnhout,Belgium; Rovereto,Italy; Chateaurenand,France; North York,Ontario,Canada; Wheatley,Ontario,Canada; Caracas,Venezuela; San Jose,Costa Rica; Johannesburg,South Africa; Gaborone,Botswana; Harare,Zimbabwe; Cheguta,Zimbabwe; Wellington,South Africa; Melbourne,Victoria,Australia; Republic of Singapore; Auckland,New Zealand; Tokyo,Japan; Guangzhov,People's Republic of China (makes infant cereal); Qingdao, People's Republic of China (makes infant foods, ketchup, mayonnaise & puree); Inchon, South Korea (makes Heinz products and StarKist); Bangkok,Thailand; Mumbai,India; Jakarta,Indonesia; Surabaya,Indonesia; Manila, Philippines; Wanchai,Hong Kong. Also recently purchased from Bordens these products: Classico Pasta Sauce; Aunt Millies Pasta Sauce; Mrs. Grass Receipt Soups; Wylers Bouillons & Soups.

Think of the conflict of interest a President would have who's wife owns business interests in all of these countries and others.

She, her three sons by her first husband, and the Heinz Endowments that she chairs sold most of their shares in 1995 and own less than four per cent of the company's stock.

    Food processing

When dealing with food processing, it makes more sense to build the plants near the crops.

How many countries do you think the Bush family is involved in?

The location in North York, Ontario Canada is definitely American owned. I'm not certain if there is a direct connection with Kerry's wife since her name isn't listed anywhere as a company executive. Of course, I may be mistaken.

How Teresa Heinz, once married to a moderate Republican Senator of high integrity and principle, could turn around and marry someone like John Kerry, is away beyond me!

The untimely death of John Heinz was a major blow to moderate Republicanism.

    He could have been President.

  6. Because she is really smart...

The reason why she could do it is because she AND John Kerry are really smart people, and good for each other. Plus I guess she finds him attractive in a sort of carved out of a piece of wood kind of way.

My sense is that Teresa Heinz is not the kind of woman who would foolishly throw herself at some out of control radical who lied to Congress about things he saw in Vietnam, etc., etc., that the Bushmen here repeatedly allege.

If Kerry is good enough for Heinz, he's good enough for me!

I think it's safe to say she knows Kerry a whole lot better than you do. Maybe that's your answer. :p

Well that's at least one thing he can do right.

Re: Because she is really smart...

I never questioned Kerry's intelligence. I believe he is very intelligent.

I question his judgement, his honesty, and his integrity. The man is a consummate politician who, like Clinton, will pander to the loudest voice.

Like Clinton his politics are poll driven. This man has flip-flopped on nearly every single issue.

Don't take my word for it. Do a search on the important issues the Senate has voted on during the past several years and you will see stark contrasts between his voting record of the past and his babblings of today.

He even stated, not too long ago, that Hussein and his weapons of mass destruction were a threat to America and Saddam needed to go.

If you want a real Democrat who doesn't pander, who has real integrity and principle, look at Joe Lieberman!

The cruel trick played upon Lieberman by Gore speaks volumes about both Lieberman and the Democratic Party. This is not the party of Kennedy, Humphrey, Jackson, RFK, etc.

It is the party of the radical left. Even former Democratic Georgia Senator Zell Miller is supporting Bush for reelection and is ashamed of his own party for its radical shift further to the left.

One of my own Senators, Democrat Evan Bayh, castigates his party's insane politics. There is no Democratic Party anymore. Check out the web site of the Socialist Party, USA, and compare it to the Democratic rhetoric of today.

It's amazing how much more moderate the SPUSA seems!

But, I support everyone's right to support whomever they wish. I do not question anyone's patriotism or loyalty to America. Each Party wants what each considers best for America.

Right now, I think the GOP is the saner choice and is what's best for America. This doesn't mean I am right, it's just my belief.

There is no disputing that John Kerry made outrageous accusations in front of a Congressional panel concerning conduct by American troops in Vietnam.

Either he lied, or he's covering for war criminals by not releasing any information about their units, identities, etc.

    Which is it?

  12. My guess is...

I'm guessing here, since I have no way of knowing, but it is an informed guess anyway. Since you put it the way you do, Kerry is covering for war criminals. This is not new - military types tend to look out for each other, especially when they've shared the same fate of being sent off to an ill-conceived war (like Vietnam) and were forced into conditions where war crimes become not only possible, but a way of life. The responsibility for the crimes in these type of situations do not lie primarily with the perpetrators, but more ominously with the presidency and congress who sent them there. For example, in the aftermath of WWII, did we not hold Hitler and his inner circle of henchmen to a higher degree of responsibility (and penalty) for Nazi excesses than we did the rank and file who carried them out?

In this, Kerry is also honorable - maintaining a "code of silence" with his former military colleagues. If a Republican did this (e.g., Oliver North) you guys would all be cheering him on for his unwillingness to snitch.

So that's the liberal mind at work for you.... ;)

    Re: My guess is...

As you said, you're guessing. My guess would be entirely different.

Congratulations.....you've just smeared every American who served in Vietnam. Would you care to explain that statement to my uncle who won the Distinguished Service Cross, and didn't get the Medal of Honor only because there wasn't 2 witnesses to his heroism?

If that's the case, then why are 80+ year old men now prosecuted for being guards at concentration camps? I agree with such prosecutions, and I mention it only to highlight the absurdity of your reasoning.

Assuming your theory is correct (and I don't believe it is), it most certainly is NOT honorable to cover for people who shot civilians, cut off ears, etc.

The more likely scenario is that a young John Kerry, eager for a political career, shot his mouth off in front of the Congressional panel in order to make a name for himself. Until he either provides information about the "war criminals" or admits he lied under oath, we'll really never know the truth.

    Hey Jimmy,
Now that you have identified a congressman I know what state you are in. I was raised near Indianapolis, in the little town of Greenfield. Are you anywhere near there?
