The following is a summary of my experiences with two of the bigger DL (well, they both have campuses as well) schools in the U.S.: The University of Phoenix & American Intercontinental University.

First of all, I realize that these schools are educational corporations and conduct business as such. AIU has sent me no less than 15 e-mails as well as calling about 5-8 times per day.
They mustn't take no for answer I guess. Furthermore, I actually had applied to the school & eventually I was accepted. However, on the student page there was an indication that my "file" was missing a plethora of things. That's just fine except for the fact that I had already submitted all of that information. Secondly, (I made an inquiry into AIU months back) I told them no less than twice that I was 1. No longer in the military and 2. That I'm at a new address. All e-mail correspondence to me still indicated my old address and I was asked repeatedly if I was still in the military.

The problem I've encountered with Phoenix is this: First of all, the campus location they have listed on their website for the Cincinnati is incorrect. Second of all, the address I was given when I spoke to them STILL doesn't exist. Okay, well it does but it's on Union Centre Drive and the admissions rep told me (and her e-mail signature say) Union Centre Point Drive. Second of all, Phoenix called my phone I don't know the number of times w/o leaving a message. Rather than allow me the convenience to sit down and call them when I am available they use these high pressure tactics that are frankly annoying.

To summarize, both schools seemed quite disorganized and both were rather irritating. I realize that with a high volume of students this could potentially happen, but IMHO they should be well aware of this and adjust accordingly.

    My humble opinions....
