I have, as of late, encountered certain phenomena with increasing frequency, and I have discussed this with others who have also expressed having similar experiences. Being that concise terms to describe these (related but distinct) phenomena did not appear to exist, I hereby make the following a humble contributions to the popular lexicon. Google head or Google brain: An individual whose capacity for independent creative thought, ability to coherently formulate an argument, or substantiate anything he or she says, is severely constrained or nonexistent without the assistance of the Internet and its search engines (most notably Google). In a real life conversation, that guy bored me to tears; he’s nothing more than a Google head. Googly and Googliness (Googliosity): The act or the outcome of employing the results of an Internet search with a callous disregard for, or without fully comprehending, its meaning, proper usage, or relevancy. We were having an interesting discussion, until it turned Googly; I guess he felt he had no alternative but to resort to Googliosity.
Further consideration has suggested that the terms Google brain and Google head may, on occasion, be misleading. Therefore, my suggestion is that an extreme manifestation of this phenomenon (which appears to be all too common) be referred to instead as an Idiot Googlant.
You may add the following to your list: Googlitude, Googliphilia, Googlemania, Google (verb), Googling, and Googled.
Owww! Gus, you hurt me!! As an individual diagnosed with Googlism, I wonder if you just violated the Americans with Disabilities Act. Insensitivity at the very least. (I believe that insensitivity is a felony in Massachusetts.) Seriously though, I think that Googling suspect schools is probably the single most revealing way of learning about them. Less seriously, Googling is fun. I sometimes just Google things that I'm interested in and see what comes up. Almost inevitably there will be something that I didn't expect, some weird angle or cool resource. I can stop Googling any time I want to.... really...
"Google" is actually the backwards spelling of the original words, honoring that Mexican pedant, El Goog.
And since Google is a variant of googol, the word for the number 1 followed by a hundred zeroes, we should also have a variant for googolplex (the number 1 followed by a googol zeroes), as in "he's really got a serious googleplex," - a serious personality disorder, and something that might require a psychiatrist's intervention.
