Houston investigators subpoena ITT records, the Houston Chronicle reports: http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/front/2419945
The plot thickens: "...investigators searched 10 of 77 ITT campuses and the company's headquarters in Indianapolis. " ITT Technical Institute may be focus of fraud inquiry , another HoustonChronicle.com story. Cheers, Lowell
"Brown said ITT charges $368 per hour and that a two-year associate's degree typically takes 96 credit hours, costing $35,328. (quoted from the article mentioned above) I just about fell out of my seat when I saw this price for an associate's degree. Why spend that type of money?
Because to some people its worth it. Of course I went onto get a Bachelors degree from them also. Needless to say I have a huge student loan at 8.25 interest. I got a job at Dell a month after finishing my degree. Several of my friends ended up at National Instruments, others went to crystal semi-conductors. One of my classmates was offered a management position at General Bandwidth (he turned them down.) ITT is a great school, its just sad to see what has happened. In a way I don't want them to find any wrong doings, but I also have to admit, that I wouldn't mind a tuition refund either
