To some the AACSB degree needs to be verified, but unfortunately their staff does not see a student as their customer and perhaps not other schools as well…. As seen by requests of information, that take up to 3 months (something as simple as a question of accreditation), and others never answered. For example, the Henley situation. I was first told that since another non-AACSB school awards their DBA degree, it is not AACSB accredited (about a month after the request for information). I sent that e-mail onto Henley, who flipped out, and had them send me an update in about a day, that they were not correct in their first statement and it is accredited. I then asked how a degree from a non-AACSB school could be considered an AACSB degree…… never received an answer. For someone who doesn’t have the time to try and try and try to get a response, only make a few attempts, who can this be escalated (appealed) to. I have tried their Director, but again, no response. It seems that they either don’t respond to inquiries from “the public”, or not at all, where I next question what is their use? The reason for my concern is when I start applying to schools who would want to check for accreditation - If they can’t get a response, maybe I won’t get a call back? Any thoughts? Maybe put a link on the application? To the school's website? Do you think school's do check (some have to I would think)? What happens when they get no response?
