While I was in the corporate office two weeks ago, I was called into the HR office for a serious issue (I was a witness) and I asked the HR Manager if the company pays tuition assistance for PhD programs; I was trying to make small talk. She said it was strange that I asked because she was just getting info about a PhD in Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University for herself. No one has every asked about tuition assistance for a PhD and she said only about 5% of the employees take advantage of any the tuition assistance.

Several emails later, going all the way to the VP of HR, tuition assistance was approved for us, the first two people in the company to use tuition assistance for a PhD program.

I guess I really don’t have a choice now do I? I am excited and now I really have to choose which school. It is down to two schools – TUI and NCU.

    Randell,

good job. I am looking at the same schools you are. NCU has a better concentration for me so I may go that route. I am following the posts here and elsewhere regarding NCU. Hard to argue with their success to this point. Keep us posted.

I am not sure, but I don't think TUI is accepting any applications this year, at least in Business. Might make your choice easy.
