I must say I have become somewhat irritated with legal situation of the Irish International University. They have registered their (technically illegal) business name in the Irish Republic, but quite openly admit on their website that all their campuses are in London. They also give a misleading statement to the effect that private universities in the UK are not controlled at all. Because they are technically a foreign university they fall outside the control of the UK Education Reform Act 1988. They now claim accreditation from the Madrid -based EQAC which claims to be approved by the EU and associated with UNESCO If anyone has any in-depth information about these bodies I would appreciate details
