Another Question...(for my husband) Where can one take the CLEP exams in NYC/Long Island area? Some places are only open to students currently registered at that university.Also, how frequently are the excelsior exams offered? Thanks.
There are a number of places in or near the city. The College Board website has a search tool at: http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_clep/searchCLEPTestCenter.jsp ( was your husband to answer this, I confused? )
Gina, Suffolk County Community College is, to my knowledge, the only open place offering CLEP on Long Island including Brooklyn and Queens. If this doesn't suffice you are looking at Manhattan or SI. They are located at 533 College Rd, Selden NY (if you want to mapquest it). Their # is 631-451-4696. I happen to have the exam dates handy for March through May along with due date for submissions. They typically have one or two Saturday sessions per month - they usually fill up first.
