There is a message about "who is the oldest person working on college degree in this forum. " I am wondering who is the youngest person in here working on college degree? I am 20.......(hopefully it is not me). Thanks................... Semper Fi, Tekman
I think the record is the story which was aired on Oregon news a couple of years ago, where a baby, yet to be born, had already earned a Harrington University (or was in San Moritz) degree. Cheers, George
For people working on doctorates, I'm sure Tom Head holds the current record. I believe he's 25 now(?). He had his bachelor's by 18 and his master's by 21 (I believe). Hopefully, he'll pass by to correct my chronology. Tom Nixon
OK, I feel bad now - Let's just say under 30........ working on my doctorate. I hope to be finished before my 30th birthday!
I started my distance learning journey as a 21 year old undergraduate student and completed this degree at 23. After commencing my DL master's degree at age 24, I took almost 5 full years to complete it. Now, I am a 30-year old PhD student. If you'd asked me what my hope was when I began this whole process, I would have told you that I dreamt of completing my PhD by age 30. Obviously, this isn't happening. While the demands of life have been great, thus making progress in my studies slow, I wouldn't trade my wealth of life experience for anything. I now am perfectly content to complete my PhD around age 34.
Well, it's not me at 44, but.... I completed my first AA at USNY/Regents at 19, and two bachelor's degrees at 20.
I´ve been attending the "School of Hard Knocks" for 58 years and will most likely wind up as an honorary Doctor!
I'm 21 and will have my bachelors completed in April it will have taken me just over three years doing it half on campus in night classes and half of it online from AIU. I'm hoping to start a masters program immediately after, but I'm still evaluating my options. I was looking heavily at Touro and still may consider them because their program and price suit me.
I graduated from H.S. age 16 I immediately went to a community college, enrolled in a respiratory care program, and graduated from both the respiratory program and college (A.S.) by age 19. However, I did not finish my B.A. until age 42. Since I married at age 22, had my first child at age 24, I had been busy raising 3 children.
Was 29 when I got an AAS from Excelsior. If everything works out, I will have a BS from TSUFL before my next birthday (I am 31 now). Bill
Got some impressive people here. I thought I was cool in that I'll have my MBA at 27. I started my quest for a college degree while I was active duty Navy. I earned by AA from University of Phoenix at 24; after a few months of taking CLEPS. Took some time away from learning after I separated from the Navy. Earned by Bachelors at 26 from AIU in Dec. 2003. Now, I am scheduled to complete my AIU MBA in early NOv 2004. This may sound corny; but, it does not really matter how young or old you are. The fact is any age is the right age when it comes to improving yourself. I salute all those who here who are earning degrees. Now, I am done with the motivational speech, I wish everyone a good weekend! Rob
24 here I am 24 now, working on my second bachelor's and master's from George mason U, will be done in 2005. I am thinking about pursuing an M.B.A or M.A in management, but trying to figure out which school to pick (strayer, phoenix, devry, UMUC, etc..). Probably whichever is professionallya accredited. I noticed that phoenix was granted candidacy status by ACBSP as well, i'm glad they are going for it since everyone I know there is either in undergrad business or M.B.A/TM.
