The following article suggests that PayPal took action after one complaint:

"Jennicam, arguably the world's first live, 24-hour voyeur site has been shut down after a user complained to PayPal that the site featured nudity. [...] Jennicam, however, was not a pornography site - it is actually similar to the recent development of unedited streams of 'reality television' shows such as Big Brother being broadcast on digital television channels such as the UK's E4. The user in question is likely to have merely seen a flash of nudity as Ms. Ringley got dresse[d]."

Being familiar with this incident in a round-about way, PayPal announced last year they would no longer process payments for adult-oriented sites and businesses as way too much credit card fraud was occuring in regards to this particular industry. To stem the losses, they called it quits on anything adult related.

So, if you want to know reality, it is that some 22-year old kid who can't get a date read an email complaint and some idiot manager with oatmeal for a brain said "cancel it" and so it was (yes, I am picturing this person now).

No, I do not work for PayPal. Yes, I do know people who work for PayPal. Yes, I know what goes on internally at PayPal after poker night. ;)

22 year old kid?? Maybe the manager and the kid were one in the same.

It reminds my of a "kid" (about 20), who I caught forging a letter as a manager of a company, which he did not work for..... I explained, he is a kid no more....

Can you ask them how much credit card fraud occurs in purchasing fraudulent degrees?
