I wonder if this move is because Concord's bar examination results went in the tank? I don't know this but Concord has removed any reference to bar results from their website. Was Goetz promoted or moved out?
I don't think this is right. If I recall, he was "promoted" to head of Kaplan Graduate programs or something like that. Unless I missed something, Kaplan graduate programs don't exist other than Concord. And the timing of this announcment after Concord had received this disappointing bar results but before they were released to the public makes me wonder.
He was promoted to create more graduate programs for Kaplan as a whole...don't think that this is due to the scores recently at all...I really do think it is a genuine promotion based on the fact that he was able to create a very successful online law school...they are going to have him develop other programs that he thinks would be just as successful. I think it would be really ridiculous to assume that they would "shove him off into a corner" for one round of bad Bar results....especially after all of his successes. That's like saying that they would fire Dick Vermeel for taking Kansas City Chiefs to the playoffs, but not to the Superbowl in his first year....not happening.
nah...it's a genuine promotion. He's done too much for creating the actual Concord program itself to be peter principle promoted. One round of bad Bar exams is not going to do him in. In Kaplan's eyes, he's the God that dreamt up the Concord cash cow...they want him to create more cash cows...
