As many on here know I have complained numerous times about the pathetic grammar being used in both the print and electronic media. I have written and emailed various news organizations expressing my concern. The other night the evening news broadcast by Channel 13, Indy, was riddled with poor grammar. I emailed and here is the response:

One person can make a difference!

Ha! I bet she did too. I just get so tired of hearing people who should know better, butcher the English language. I heard a lawyer the other day say he was not "ascared." Isn't that awful? I know it's acceptable but it is rather archaic. No wonder our children continue to rank below most other countries academically. Last night top attorneys in the nation debated the Scott Peterson situation. I counted 29 errors of grammar in a 15-minute discussion. Most of the errors centered around misuse of direct objects, pronouns, transitive and intransitive verbs, etc. Guess the President's "No child left behind" program will eventually become "No child be left behinder." Check this out from a news article about a recent debate between two candidates for office in Mississippi.
