Can I see Paradise by the dashboard lights? Nah, what I have to say isn’t that good. I just borrowed the old Meatloaf line as literary license to report something that does make my whole day; I discovered I graduate the UMass Lowell BS IT program this term.

While I’ve completed the 30-hour residency requirement I need one more IT elective. But then I remembered that I’d taken a three term ‘internship’ for social science doctoral students when I was in psychology graduate school many, many moons ago. We studied Fortran the first term, SAS and SPSS the second, and the third term was actually running jobs for faculty and other grad students. Which, my advisor graciously accepted in lieu of the last elective.

So after this term I am once again a man with free time on his hands. My wife says she’ll kill me if I start on an IT masters … thinking, thinking, thinking.

The support and camaraderie of this community while I’ve been working on this goal has been helpful. Thanks everyone.

Congratulations David! I'm sure all your hard work will pay off. BTW, I spoke with your wife, I think she really means it! ;)

Just tell your wife that now that you're done you will be spending late nights at the office with your secretary catching up on neglected files.

    Thanks for the attaboy guys.

Its sort of ironic to me that most of my posting has had to do with psychology and mental health while my DL involvement is in IT. But, then again, after 30 years I know a heck of a lot more about things clinical than things IT.

Bruce, I'm pleased to be an almost Riverhawk alum.
