Just for fun and Morbid Curiosity....

Which Diploma Mill has the most "appealing" Dilpoma? I've seen many that my son could have created in art class, and some that were pretty authentic looking.

    Just curious....

It has got to be the diploma I saw from “Harrington University”. But wait it gets better! (I had mentioned this in a previous post.) I was talking to this co-worker about my educational pursuits and he stated that he had an MBA.
Really? I said… then, he whipped out his wallet and in it was a laminated wallet size diploma from Harrington U! (all the time he had a straight face when he said and showed me his accomplishment in higher education). I almost died laughing.

    Veritas,

(Who grew up in the Hamptons and has a lovely high school diploma from Westhampton Beach High School.)

I've never seen one quite as lovely (in its own peculiar way) as the one I designed for the Millard Fillmore Institute, back in the sixties. Large, ornate, with lots of angels and cherubim and banners and a fine picture of . . . well actually Martin Luther, because we couldn't find a picture of Fillmore at the time . . . and some sly little visual references to bits of Fillmore's life, such as his liaisons with Dorothea Dix. Here's a small version of this, the original being 12 x 16, on genuine imitation parchment.

As it happens, I got out my stash of them this week, when people from the History Channel called; they are doing a series of programs on obscure presidents, and were hoping for some diplomas to use for props, which of course were sent.

What shall I do with the remainder, perhaps 50? The notion of a fund raiser for DegreeInfo comes to mind. Not a promise -- I haven't checked with the Lords of DegreeInfo -- but what about the notion of a Fillmore diploma in exchange for a $20 donation to DegreeInfo (in which, I hasten to remind, I have no ownership or involvement whatever). Let me know.

I would be glad to fork over $40 for MFI diplomas for my boy/girl twins, who are just approaching 2 years old and are still learning how to talk.

In the interest of full disclosure, I also have no ownership or otherwise financial interest in this website. I'm just a guy that agreed to moderate the board for free.

Frank Abagnale should be asked to adjudicate on this one? I believe his Harvard diploma was as good or better than the real
    thing.

    John,

I would be interested in a MF piece for diploma mill history.
